The Pacific Island Conference on Ocean Science and Ocean Management Media Master Class took place over two days. The event gathered journalists from 11 Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs) and Pacific scientists with the aim of fostering a deeper understanding of Ocean and Fisheries Science. The training was specifically designed to give regional journalists a comprehensive grasp of Pacific concepts surrounding ocean science.
Dr Katy Soapi inaugurated the Master Class, emphasising the significance of storytelling in catalysing change, with her statement, “Every story has the power to empower change.”
